Watchismo Times managed to score some photos and a video of the HD3 Complication Vulcania. The timepiece features an extremely cool looking bi-axial tourbillon; one of only eleven HD3 watches to do so.

The fanciest foosball table

Toto-Treme-Terra-1.jpgFoosball is just one of those classic games that just about everyone enjoys. I mean, everyone enjoys it as long as they aren’t playing with jerks who use spinnies. Everyone know using spinnies is cheating and can break the paddles. Only jerks use spinnies.

But for the rest of us, there’s this Hi-Fi Foosball Table. It looks to have a nice stereo built right into its frame, allowing you to rock out to your favorite tunes while you have a nice, respectful game going on. It also has a built-in overhead light that’ll show you everything that’s going on in your game. There’s no information as to where to purchase this guy, but we’ll keep you updated if info does come out.

Cuckoo Bunker Wall Clock makes tacit anti-war statement

cuckoobunker_front.jpg

What better way to decorate your arty abode during wartime than hanging up this Cuckoo Bunker Wall Clock by Joseph Barakat for Diamantini Domeniconi? That little bird out front is one brave soldier, wearing only the flimsiest of helmets for protection, and standing guard, completely exposed outside his mighty fortress.

That’s right, this sentry dove doesn’t bother making noises or popping out at regular intervals — he just sits there, not fighting back but remaining steadfast in his bravery. The stationary fowl in his 111-brick-façade tableau serves as a timely, albeit mute, testament to the futility of war.

Like war, the Cuckoo Bunker Wall Clock is also exorbitantly expensive. Brace yourself for the price, Lieutenant: At $695, the identity of the real cuckoos will be instantly revealed.

Water-Cool Yourself With a Cool Shirt

Posted by sickofgadgets.com
Filed under fashion | No Comments

The Cool Shirt is a t-shirt with a clever water cooling system for your body. If you are familiar with water cooler designs for computers, then this one will look quite similar. There is an inlet and an outlet on the fifty feet of rubber hose that connect to a pump. The water circulates and you get to sit in the furious heat of summer without feeling the effects and without resorting to air conditioning.

Cool Shirt

It is designed for car use and is actually for racing car drivers, but I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t rig one of these up for home use; all you need is to take your water container indoors and use a pump with a suitable power source. If you went so far as to cannibalize the cooling system from a water cooler (the drinking kind), you could keep yourself cool indefinitely, though with a slightly greater environmental footprint.

I have no idea of the price of the Cool Shirt, but considering that it is for a very limited market, I would say that it is likely to be expensive. If you have the time, inclination and are handy with a sewing machine, there is no reason why you could not construct your own. All it is, really, is a tight-fitting shirt with some rubber hose stitched to it attached to a water pump. You could work wonders with some aquarium parts

Timezones and Ticketime

Ticketime is a boarding card and a wristwatch all in one. The fringe of the ticket is made of electronic paper that could be torn off and worn as a wristwatch during the period of your travel. Before your departure, the airline company would preset the watch to the time zone of your destination. It is returned to the airline counter during your check-in upon your return flight, whilst still serving the purpose of a flight ticket.

TeaCube Makes Steeping Easy

I absolutely love tea and anyone who knows me knows I avidly collect satchels from all over the world. Like coffee, a good cup of tea is all in the brewing and steeping. Steep it too long and it tastes bitter; too short and you’re drinking muddy hot water. TeaCubes make it easy by placing the tea bag on a timed retractable spool. Hands free and a good cup of tea. What more could a tea lover ask for!

The UFO Combo Card Reader Can’t Actually Fly

Posted by sickofgadgets.com

ufocardreader.jpgSo maybe it’s not actually a “UFO” unless it’s flying. And unidentified. D-Tech’s UFO Combo Card Reader doesn’t fill either of these requirements, but one thing’s for certain: This device is definitely an object.

Unlike most UFOs (purely speculative, naturally), this thing can read CF, T-Flash, MicroSD, M2, Mini SD, SD, MMC Micro, MMC, XD, SM, MS, and MS Duo. The UFO Combo Card Reader is also a seven-port USB hub, which to the best of my knowledge is another feature not generally supported by your run-of-the-mill flying saucer.

The card reader comes in blue and gray and works with Windows ME, 2000, XP, Vista, and Mac OS X. You can pick it up here for $29.99.

Verbatim’s new SmartDisk HDD is so small we could just eat it up

Verbatim SmartDisk

Because history has proven that hard drives must get smaller and more capacious, Verbatim went and released the 500GB 2.5-inch SmartDisk HDD. Despite claims from others, Verbatim says this marks the first available 9.5mm Z-height 2.5-inch hard disk. The drive is made up of three 166GB platters striped with Perpendicular Magnetic Recording at 5400RPM. With enclosure, it weighs in at less than 6 ounces and measures 3.38-inches by 5.38-inches by 0.63-inches in both USB and USB / FireWire combo versions. Expect it this summer for under $300.

Iron Man case mod shows lots of dedication, is still ugly

Let’s go ahead and get this out of the way: we can’t deny that the Iron Man Mark I case mod took some serious work (and skill). That being the case, it’d take a pretty hardcore fan of the character (or the new flick, we guess) to love this one with reckless abandon. Reportedly, the whole shebang was built in just three weeks, and while we’re still waiting for the full work log, feel free to hit the read link for an array of angles.
