Although 2D games can be pretty entertaining, I think we can all agree that the future lies in the use of 3 dimension.
We aren’t only talking about desktop/console gaming though, but also about in-browser gaming.
In-browser 3D gaming isn’t new. This was previously possible through other plug-ins like Adobe ShockWave. A nice example of this can [...]

If you haven’t heard of Chrome - well, it is only the most popular, latest addition from Google to the existing line of internet browsers. Unlike other browsers like Firefox, Safari and Opera that try to surpass each other with cool [...]

The video above features someone who has filmed himself playing Guitar Hero III with a homemade midi controller and drumsticks. Sure it is one of those “just because” projects, but the man has skills both in GHIII and on the sticks. [College Humor via Gizmodo]

Well boys and girls, it’s November 30, and you know what that means. It’s just one day away from the 3rd annual OhGizmo! Christmas Countdown. Yep, it’s that time of year when electronics manufacturers break out the Santa Clause shaped plastic injection molds and holiday-themed decals to make their boring flash drives and [...]

A bookmarklet is a small piece of JavaScript code saved as bookmarks in your browser. Every time you open such a bookmark it executes its function.
A bookmarklet can be a good alternative to a FireFox addon as it is easier to organize and backup (as a usual bookmark), faster to install (all you need is [...]

There are two types of sitemaps - HTML page or an XML file. An HTML sitemap is a single page that shows visitors all the pages on a website and usually has links to those pages. The XML type of sitemap is used by search engine crawlers to find out what pages are present and which have recently changed. An XML sitemap isn’t meant to look pretty for the website visitor.

Almost all the popular Linux distributions use the GNU GRand Unified Bootloader (GRUB) as the bootloader of choice these days. If you have been experimenting with a number of distributions, you must have seen that some of them have a backdrop image for GRUB and some (like Ubuntu) don’t.
If, like me, the default black background [...]

Business cards are out of date. They’re paper, which immediately makes them dinosaurs. You get them, and have to figure out what to do - do you copy it all into Outlook? Do you use a Rolodex? It’s just not the best way to do it.
Thankfully, there are a growing number of ways to use [...]

Today, when I was creating a new email filter to get rid of a tiresome email marketer who won’t take no for an answer, I came across two new filters in Gmail : “send canned response” and “never send it to spam”. It is the first one that made me realise that I can now [...]

There are quite a few videos posted on Youtube of a spectacular meteorite impact in Edmonton. The video footage, as brief as it is, is a real treat. It’s not too often that we get to see them up close and personal like this. I have posted some other angles after the jump.

When I was a little innocent computer newbie, still finding my way around a keyboard and gasping with delight at the internet (”WOW! HOTMAIL!”), I made a few really bad mistakes while learning. One of them (which I still cringe about to this day) was back in 2000 when I installed 9000 fonts on Microsoft [...]
