Those kooky scientists at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have gone overboard with this programmable tattoo concept. It uses hair-sized nanotubes embedded in the skin to display an image of your choice, which persists even after you turn off the power. Hopefully you can remove that image altogether for job interviews and such.
Those creative Rensselaer dudes [...]

Logitech subsidiary 3Dconnexion managed to impress with its original SpaceNavigator 3D mouse, and it’s now shrunk the 3D environment-navigating tool down to laptop size for those that like to dip into their virtual environs of choice while they’re on the go. Apart from the size, however, the only significant change appears to be a new [...]

From what we’ve seen thus far, Intel’s Netbook isn’t exactly the prettiest piece of kit. But apparently, the unit we’ve been shown looks nothing like the Netbooks of the future. At the Intel Developer Forum in Shanghai, the company was showing off an upcoming design that looked awfully thin (and awfully attractive). As it stands, [...]

A cup (or mug) is a very integral part of our lives. Without that cuppa coffee, no engine starts! So imagine phrases like “Pour your data on the table” or “Pour your data into my cup” being dished out by the Cup PC, which has been modeled on common behaviors of people in everyday [...]

With the developers in Dubai constantly looking for new ways to spend their massive piles of petro dollars, it was only a matter of time before The Donald started poking his nose in. Looking like something from a 1950s science fiction movie, the Trump International Hotel and Tower might have seemed obscenely garish in his [...]

As concepts go, most designs stand on their own merit and need nothing else to exist for them to hopefully one day go into production. Then there are the more rare concept designs that are completely dependent on yet other concepts to be created in order for the first to exist. Got that?

As global warming gets worse, the ice caps will melt. This will raise the levels of the world’s oceans, flooding costal areas and cities. So long, NYC! It was nice knowing you, Tokyo! We can’t say with a straight face that the capital of Azerbaijan is high on our list of places to vacation at, but for Star Wars fanatics, the case could be different. Reportedly, Heerim Architects has dreamt up a couple of “lunar inspired” projects for the Asian country, one of which (Full Moon Bay) looks [...]

This is fantastic! Solar cells can be printed on paper or some other flat surfaces for absorbing sunlight to power your gadgets and even the entire home. Check out this solar-powered laptop concept that relies 100% on the sun’s rays to keep it going. I don’t know about this idea - laptops are notorious for their high power consumption, and they won’t be able to last too long without being hooked up to a power outlet. After all, you wouldn’t want to [...]

I don’t know about your laptop, but the heat mine gives off could power a small industrial nation. Okay, maybe not, but it does a damn good job of toasting my pop tarts and rendering me sterile. The DORmino mouse takes all of that wasted heat and uses it to power a wireless mouse, utilizing [...]
