Zucchetti oversized showerhead XL Z94 suspended over bathtub

Sometimes the best ideas are the simplest. There is nothing complicated about the oversized XL showerhead with the straightforward label of Z94, from Zucchetti. It is a massive, circular showerhead that appears to be suspended from three steel wires. The three wires have an organic appeal due to their asymmetrical, twisted forms. Actually, the showerhead hangs down from the ceiling supported by thin, almost invisible, wires that bear the weight. The overall effect is one of understated elegance that belies the sensational showering experience of the Z94, which is like standing under your own cloud as it drenches you with refreshing, clean water. Each ‘raindrop’ is individually emphasized by the lovely lighting feature within the showerhead. Bring the XL Z94 into your home for the best showering experience ever!

Eco-Friendly Vampire Bat LED Flashlight

We have seen it in the shape of a rat and as a pig. Now the eco-friendly, batteryless, hand-squeeze LED flashlight is back with a brand new design; the vampire bat.

It is cute, brightly coloured, and suitable for children. It’s ideal as a night lamp and educational at the same time. Teach children not to use batteries but generate electricity by themselves. As well as normal flashlight operation, the Bat can stand in an upright position, in order to act as a nightlight.

The Bat Torch is available from the Ethical Superstore for £4.99 (about $9 USD).

The pixel drink coasters are nothing if not eye-catching, but they have another feature that makes them very, very cool. They can be cut to any shape that one pleases. In fact the coasters come in one massive sheet that has been folded into fifty segments which you can separate yourself. The pixels themselves are perforated in order to make it easy to shape your coasters into any piece of 8-bit artwork that you can imagine - and they supposedly resist condensation.

Rubik's Cube Subwoofer from Elac

Just like the Teddy Bear USB Drive, it now looks as if the cool DIY Rubik’s Cube Subwoofer idea from last year also has been picked up by a company.

The 4.7kg heavy MicroSub 2010 BT from Elac has four amplifiers and it’s completely vibration free. According to Shiny Shiny, it uses Bluetooth to stream music from any enabled device. Alternatively, you can connect it directly using an RC jack.

There is no info on pricing or availability yet. But, as Pocket-lint points out; it will most likely be quite expensive, considering the standard black or white MicroSub model will set you back around $1,800 USD.
