While lounging on your favorite seat in front of the computer and checking your favorite gadget blogs, you find yourself unable to quell the temptation to switch that TV on. But juggling the computer mouse and the remote control proves to be beyond your meager ninja skillz because, gasp, it’s all too complicated. Thank heavens Eizo Nanao Corporation invented a gadget to save us all–a computer mouse AND a remote control in one.

Called the “Eizo-C@T-one,” it has a built-in tilt sensor that turns off the mouse or the remote control function depending on what side faces upwards. The Eizo-C@T-one uses 2.4GHz wireless technology for computer connectivity and infrared for the TV, recorder, or tuner; it works up to around 30 feet away. Supporting both Windows and Mac operating systems, the Eizo-C@T-one is now available at the Eizo Direct web site for $121.

For households with kids ages three to five years old, the Good Nite Lite could help you adjust your children’s sleeping and waking habits. Since you most probably have your own schedule at home, having the kids sleep too early for their liking or wake up later than they want to, having a visual indicator for the children to learn on their own is ideal. Good Nite Lite is a behavioral modification device equipped with LED light that turns into a glowing yellow sun’s face when it’s time to wake up and a moon’s blue face when it’s time to sleep.

In addition to the Blue Track technology Microsoft is ready to put into as many mice as possible, the company has also revealed a new folding mouse design.

It’s called the Arc Mouse, and the idea is to great a small, portable mouse, like one that you would use with a notebook, but have it flip out like a cell phone to give you a full sized mouse when you need it.

The Arc Mouse looks very slick, and will come in black or red later this month for $60. (There are reports that the mouse is already available in some retail outlets).

transcend64gb.jpgIs that a high-capacity Flash drive in your pocket or…aw, never mind.

Transcend has upped the ante for really, really big Flash drives with its new JetFlash V20. The drive holds a whopping 64GB. That, I’m sad to say, is 24GB more than my Powerbook at home.

Also, Transcend wants you to know about its “attractively shaped pearlescent chassis,” blah, blah, blah. Dude, seriously. The chassis could be made out of a dead rat, for all I care.

The JetFlash V20 also comes with a bunch of software, including Web site AutoLogin, Mobile Favorites, Secret-Zip, DataBackup, and more. Oh, and there’s a lifetime warranty on this thing too. At the very least, it should hold you until someone comes out with a 128GB Flash drive next week.

A toy called StellarWindows from Japanese company Fairy Devices can give you a peek of outer space. The toy, game, or educational system (depending on how you view it as) comes in the form of a CD software that you need to install on your tablet or notebook PC and a USB dongle that contains the compass and an accelerometer. To use, you would need to hold up your tablet or notebook PC to the sky; the USB dongle tells the software where your computer is pointing and the software shows you the corresponding 3D view of the sky object selected.
