Customizable Earth bowl great for topography buffs

earthbowl.jpgFluidform’s Earth bowl is like a little section of a topographic map carved out of laminated beachwood and designed to hold fruit. I’m guessing the fruit connection here is either a) fruit trees grow in the earth so it makes sense to put fruit in an Earth bowl or b) a “bowl” shaped like terrain isn’t going to hold much else other than fruit. Unless it’s modeled after, say, a crater or a lake. The bowls shown on the Fluidform site aren’t crater-ish in nature, but you can customize your own via a simple Web tool so if you want to eat your cereal out of Mount Krakatoa, you can for around $277.
