With the Reef Fanning sandal, you can be the champion of the beach party when forgetful Phil pulls out the cooler full of Sam Adams but forgot his opener.

The Fanning comes in guys and girls versions (the one pictured is for the ladies), each costing in the neighborhood of $60. That strikes me as a lot for flip-flops, but they also have a soft heel “airbag” that makes them more comfortable, plus the reviews seem to give them a thumbs up. That’s enough for me to give them a try this summer, though I’d be careful taking them through airport security.
