FakeTV makes it look like the biggest couch potato ever is home

faketv.jpgNothing says “people are home” like a window with the flickering light of a TV coming out of it. I mean, if I was a thief I certainly wouldn’t try to break into a house that looked like it had people plopped on the couch inside it. I’d just move on to the next dark house on the block.

That’s why the FakeTV exists. It’s just a light that uses an array of colored, flashing LEDs to create the illusion of a TV left on. Next time you go on vacation, simply set it up in the living room and make your house look like someone’s home at all times. At $49 it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than a security system, and you’ll have the added bonus of feeling smarter than the criminals, which you really can’t put a price on. Hit the jump to see a video of it in action.
